Trees are like people: they all have first and last names and various characteristics that help us tell them apart from each other.
Good collections of plant specimen mounts for tree identification can help club members get acquainted with trees and enable members to help others learn to identify trees. The collections provide a good visual for discussing trees and what they do for us. Follow the instructions in “Introducing Yourself to Trees” to create a leaf collection that can be submitted to the Kentucky State Fair for the 4-H Forestry Exhibit.
